To connect the A500 to a projector you need two components:
First is the HP HDMI to VGA Display Adapter
(Part number #NP031AA#ABA)
There may be other VGA adapters but this one was unpowered and fairly mobile, which suits my purpose.
Second you need a Micro-HDMI Male (Type D) to HDMI Female (Type A) Port Saver Adapter
The image quality isn't that great but it works!
I take that back, my basic issue is that vs a laptop the Tablet's resolution is a little smaller, so you don't have as much area. but the projector shows pretty well what you see on the tablet. (see attached picture)
I have purchased the HP adapter and Port Saver adapter and am able to display on my external monitor, but can not see the status line on the Iconia, so I can not get to the functions such as back or the recently used applications. How can you display that portion of the screen?
Thank you.
Hmm, I didn't have that requirement in mind when setting mine up for a projector. I was mostly looking to project power point documents.
I've never run across any setting to allow for what you're looking for.
Great tip Dave. "The image quality isn't that great but it works!" I am planning to use this setup for corporate presentations and would like to know more about the quality.
Can you post a picture of the output if possible?
Hi John, I've uploaded a picture to the post, hopefully that helps!
